Hadith

Module Overview:

The Hadith module covers a selection of more than 350 aḥādīth, explaining the essence of prophetic wisdom and guidance along with reading of the original Arabic text. The modules focus on giving a spiritual understanding of sharī’ah and help deepen religious understanding, nurture faith, increase the love of the beloved Prophet ﷺ, and gain clarity on how to live the essence of his wisdom. The modules also cover matters related to the preservation of ḥadīth, isnād (transmission) of ḥadīth, types of ḥadīth, definition of ṣaḥīḥ and ḍaꜤīf ḥadīth etc.

Ḥadīth pl. aḥādīth are the prophetic narrations which consist of the sayings, practices and the silent approvals of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Aḥādīth are the second source of legislation for the Sharīʿah after the Holy Qur’ān. It is relied upon for clarity in the Qur’ānic texts and the entire sharīꜤah at large. Without the support of Aḥādīth our religion will remain incomplete and difficult to practice.

Objectives and Learning outcomes:

Objective:
To gain a holistic understanding of sharīꜤah and spiritually nurture the hearts through listening to and understanding prophetic narrations. Finally, understanding aḥādīth as a protected source of sharīꜤah.

Upon completion of this module the student will be able to:
- Have the correct understanding of sharīꜤah
- Have clarity on how to live life as abetter Muslim
- Understand aḥādīth in general and its position in sharīꜤah
- Remove misconceptions of ḥadīth and spiritually nurtured

Each participant will be inspired to stay on the right path till their last moments resulting the in the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ in this world and the hereafter.

Riyādus Sālihin

An English translation and detailed commentary of Imam al-Nawawi's renowned collection. Riyad as-Salihin. The commentary is drawn from various Arabic commentaries. Riyad-us-Saliheen is considered as one of the most reliable compilations of the Aḥadīth of The Holy Prophet (SAW). The Ahadith compiled in this collection was done by by one of the most reputed Imams of Islamic history, Imam Al Nawawī. The book covers every aspect of Islamic creed and Muslim moral conduct, it covers a wide range of topics such as etiquette, manners, morals, supplications, beliefs, worship, human interactions, etc. It contains Hadiths from the six canonical compilations of hadith: Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasai and Ibn Majah. It is a great source of advice and guidelines for the entire Muslim Ummah. Riyad-us-Saliheen is frequently referred to and read by students of knowledge

Ma’ariful Hadith

Author: Moulana Muhammad Manzoor No’mani

Ma'ariful-Hadith is a collection of Ahadith on all topics of the deen. These Ahadith are then explained eloquently by Mawlana Muhammad Manzoor Nomani. Beginning with the Hadith about the importance of intention in performance of deeds, the Book takes us through the journey of the aspects of faith, the duties in Islam and ends with Ahadith on supplication.
