Qur'anic Arabic (Teenagers)

The Qur’anic Arabic course is a two-year, part-time programme designed to equip students with the ability to translate the Holy Qur’an firsthand, without relying on any translations. The aim of the course is to teach Qur’anic Arabic rather than modern spoken Arabic, as this will assist in understanding both the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

In the first year, students are taught the key Arabic grammar rules and apply them using Qur’anic texts, rather than general examples.

In the second year, an entire surah is translated from the Qur’an. Surah Yusuf is chosen for this module due to its relevance to young people. A total of 100 hadith are also assigned for the final module.

Upon completing this course, participants should have the ability to independently examine the verses of the Qur’an and Sunnah and grasp their basic meaning.

Qur’ān Recitation:
The Qur’ān recitation program is designed to enhance fluency and the application of Tajwīd rules. Its aim is to equip students with the necessary recitation skills, enabling them to maintain good fluency and speed throughout their lives, while ensuring correct Arabic pronunciation of the Holy Qur’ān. The program employs three distinct teaching methods, as outlined: memorisation of short Suwar, guided practice reading with the teacher (Mashq), and independent reading with applied Tajwīd (تَجْوِيد) rules. As this program is tailored for advanced students, it will focus on delivering instruction to a higher standard.
